Hope means hoping when things are hopeless, or it is no virtue at all… As long as matters are really hopeful, hope is mere flattery or platitude; it is only when everything is hopeless that hope begins to be a strength. G.K. Chesterton

What is my hope?

I wish for your happiness.

I hope you have peace of mind.

I hope that you have a kind heart.

I hope that you are happy.

It is my hope today that no matter what appears to threaten you or frighten you, that you find strength of mind and strength of heart.

I hope that if you are tired, you find rest and if you are sick, that you find healing.

I hope you smile more and even if you are sad or angry, that you find comfort.

If you are lonely, I hope you find companionship and community.

And, I hope that you wish this as well for all others and that today, we persevere in remaining good and loving human beings to each other.

It is my deepest wish that just for this moment, this day, we bring hope into the places where there is despair and that we find the treasures and gifts of each moment that are hidden in love and in light and in our hearts, always.
