There is a new button on my blog.
It says DONATE.
It took me all day to complete this simple task that in actuality, takes less than 30 minutes. I made it a lot harder than it needed to be. OKAY! Some of you are probably laughing out loud for you know me well. I may have made things harder in my life! This doesn’t have anything to do with getting rid of everything I own! That was easy. I can still fit everything I own in my car. And, it’s an Elantra! No, that is not the suffering. The pain I have experienced has come from simply not valuing myself or my contributions and from entertaining far too many thoughts of doubt, and of poor self-worth. Not anymore. I haven’t time. So, here we are.
Someone who loves this work and who has known me a long time and who has come to groups, retreats, chants, and sessions; it was her idea. A very sweet and kind soul herself – she sort of insisted and has been following up with me to see that I complete this assignment! As soon as she said it, I knew it was right for me and would help me continue this work. This blog and what it represents is my life. And, I hope it supports all of us in finding peace.
I believe we are precious; each of us. I believe that our journey is shared. That we each heal when we remove the obstacles to remembering how beautiful, valuable, and priceless we are.
I believe that this was one of the harder hurdles I have encountered for myself and I hope that through this simple button, we can each today contemplate our own value.
I am thinking of Matthew’s gospel again and these words: Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Let’s get rid of everything else we don’t need for a moment and contemplate the One Thing we each share and that we each own, and that makes us priceless.
The Divine. The Sacred. The Beautiful. The Compassionate One within us.
I sincerely thank you for your support and yes, for your donations, and wish that it return to you a thousandfold.
